"I have worked with Amy as both a choreographer and dance partner, and in both she is giving, smart, incredibly professional and always on her game. Together we were the Geminae twins in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, where it was of the utmost importance that our movements be coordinated precisely. With Amy this was no problem, I have never felt like I was on the same mental wavelength with a partner as much as I did when working with her on this dance. We moved together effortlessly. She's an intelligent dancer who listens with her eyes and moves with her heart. Even while dancing Amy utilizes her skills as a choreographer, knowing what’s going to look good and how to make it happen.
Amy was also my choreographer and fellow dancer in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, which was one of the most enjoyable rehearsal processes I've ever had. She was incredibly professional and approachable throughout. Her choreography harkened back to the time period of the show, but was fresh and uniquely her own. Each movement leant to the action in the scene and helped tell the story. And in the nature of the show was plain-old sexy! Every night I took great joy performing each dance and I know this was due to the thought and passion put into each phrase.
Amy and her husband also helped me on my audition reel. Amy acted as an impromptu director/choreographer putting together choreography at the drop of a hat. She found the things that I can do best and brought them to light using her keen sense of aesthetics to make me, the dancer, shine. Working with Amy is rewarding and just plain fun."

"I had the pleasure of working with Amy on a production of Godspell at the Allenberry Playhouse. Amy was the choreographer and also was in the cast. Her staging was totally original and beautifully helped tell the story. Somehow she was also able to transform a cast of actors who's movement backgrounds were widely varied into what appeared to be trained company of dancers. Amy comes to the rehearsal room with a plan but has an open mind so there is always the option of collaboration. As a performer she is incredibly versatile and has a fierce work ethic. Her delivery of "Turn Back O Man" was lusty, gutsy, and powerful. This is one to watch out for onstage and off!"

"Amy is a wonderful choreographer and a lot of fun to work with. She encourages you to play around with your character within a dance and isn't afraid to alter choreography if you and or her get a little inspiration."

"What a treat this has been! Thanks for being so understanding when I didn't understand what 'step, touch' meant. I should hate you for being equally talented both onstage and off. But I just can't. You're terrific. All good things to you and I hope we get to do it again."

"I had the privilege of working with Amy McCleary as a dancer in PEG's Holly Jolly Christmas. Amy's style is full of flare and energy. Not only is she an immensely talented performer, but she truly puts her heart and soul into everything she does, and makes her dancers look fabulous. I would be honored to dance for her again."
