This show has some big numbers and great dance performances filled with talent led by Director and Choreographer Amy Marie McCleary. It is clearly on display in the stand-up and cheers for high-energy performance of Shaking the Blues Away. It’s a class act song and jaw-dropping performance that has these actors tapping and jumping rope at the same time.
The musical is filled with great costumes and also recreates the film’s Oscar-winning soundtrack. While all of the vocals are terrific, Charis Michelle Gullage who plays “Linda Mason” is a standout to be noticed.

While the show could seem a bit dated, Broadway Palm has modernized it with much needed diversity and charm which makes it feel fresh.
